There’s a difference between redesigning old dresses and just making the exact same dress in different colours.There’s no “modern twist” in that dress. It’s the EXACT same dress.
The point of the archive is to go through and take inspiration. Not recreate the exact same dress in a different colour. Every single one of Dior’s successors never recreated a dress. They all embraced their own design aesthetic.
